About WorldBrief
WorldBrief collects stories from public news sources across roughly 90 countries, writes a short factual summary of each, renders it as a vertical video, and publishes it to our own social accounts.
How it works
- Collect. We read publicly available news feeds and wire reports. The front page of this site is that collection, ranked by how many outlets are carrying each story.
- Summarise. Each story is condensed into a short, plain-language brief. The summary text is machine-generated and reviewed against the source before it is used.
- Render. The brief becomes a vertical video with on-screen captions and synthetic narration.
- Publish. The finished video is posted to social accounts that we own and operate.
WorldBrief is a first-party publisher. It posts only to our own accounts. It does not publish on behalf of third-party creators, and it does not offer publishing as a service to anyone else.
Disclosure: AI-generated content
Our narration is synthetic and our summary text is machine-generated from source reporting. We disclose that here, and our policy is to declare it wherever a platform provides a control for AI-generated content. We do not present synthetic voices as those of real named people, and we do not generate footage that depicts real events; the imagery in our videos is real photography, maps and flags.
Sources and attribution
Headlines and summaries shown on the front page are the publishers' own, credited beside each story, and every story links out to the original report. We do not reproduce full articles. If you are a publisher and would like your feed removed from the site, email us and we will remove it.
Where to find us
Accuracy and corrections
Summaries are drawn from published reporting and can be wrong, incomplete or overtaken by events. WorldBrief is not a substitute for the original source. If you believe something we published is inaccurate, email [email protected] and we will correct or remove it.
