1. Who we are
WorldBrief ("WorldBrief", "we", "us") is an independent news-video project operated by a sole publisher based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected]. These terms govern your use of the website at worldbrief.uk and the WorldBrief software used to produce and publish our videos.
2. What WorldBrief does
WorldBrief collects publicly available news reporting, produces short summary videos from it, and publishes those videos to social media accounts that we own and operate. WorldBrief is a first-party publisher: it posts only our own content to our own accounts. It is not a publishing service for third parties, it does not accept content from other users, and it does not create or manage accounts on anyone else's behalf.
3. No accounts, no user submissions
This website does not offer user accounts, registration, comments or uploads. Nothing on it invites you to submit content. Access to the operator tools used to publish our videos is restricted to the operator and is not offered to the public.
4. Accuracy, and the limits of a summary
Our summaries are condensed from third-party reporting and are produced with automated assistance. They may contain errors, omit context, or be overtaken by later reporting. They are provided for general information only and are not news of record, professional advice, or a substitute for the original source. Always check the original reporting before relying on anything we publish.
If you believe we have published something inaccurate, email us and we will correct or remove it.
5. AI-generated content
Our narration is synthetic and our summary text is machine-generated from source reporting. We disclose that on our home page, and our policy is to declare it wherever a platform provides a control for AI-generated content. We do not use synthetic voices to impersonate real named individuals, and we do not generate imagery that depicts real events as though it were footage of them.
6. Intellectual property
The WorldBrief name, logo, page designs and the specific wording and composition of our videos belong to us. Underlying facts are not owned by anyone; the original reporting, photographs and footage referenced in our work remain the property of their respective owners and are used only to the extent permitted by law and by the terms of the sources concerned.
You may link to this site and share our published videos through the sharing features of the platforms they appear on. You may not republish our videos as your own, present them as coming from someone else, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
7. Acceptable use of this site
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this site or its underlying systems, interfere with its operation, or use automated means to place unreasonable load on it.
8. Third-party platforms
Our videos are distributed on third-party platforms including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and Bluesky. Your use of those platforms is governed by their terms and privacy policies, not ours. We have no control over how they rank, recommend, moderate or remove content.
9. Availability
This site and our publishing are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on a summary, from any inaccuracy in it, or from the unavailability of this site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date and version above will change when we do, and the current version is always the one published on this page.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
